Last fire season, part of the Plains-Thompson Falls fire crew was sent down to Payson, Az to assist with any fires around a particularly busy time of the year, 4th of July. As you can expect, fireworks are a big deal. And being that the Tonto National Forest is a playground for Phoenix & the surrounding areas, they wanted a little extra help, just in case. So we drove the trucks up a hill behind the station to get a good 360 vantage point of the valley. Luckily, everyone was good this year & didn’t start any fires.

So we kept our ears glued to the radios & enjoyed the opportunity to watch the city’s firework show. While the fireworks pop pop popped in the background, I ran around & scored some photos of the engine & crew. Hope you enjoy!
